Very cool! I don’t have any Alton DVDs yet! I may blog or twitter, have to see how it goes.
November 4, 2009 - 6:12 pm
I only have one set of Alton DVDs – they handed out a sweet treats pack at his book signing in Arlington, VA…I’m now addicted to the “Ask Alton” segments at the end of each episode.
But the EXTREMELY AWESOME THING is that Alton recognized me at after his lecture at the Smithsonian that night! How cool is the man? He really cares about his fans!
November 4, 2009 - 6:30 pm
I made the hollandaise sauce from the Hittin’ The Sauce episode a couple of times recent for egg benidick and it was amazing!
November 4, 2009 - 6:34 pm
Also, I’m @rhino777 on twitter.
November 4, 2009 - 7:33 pm
I don’t have any AB DVDs, I just watch on my DVR. I just love the science that AB brings to the kitchen. I’m a major nerd at heart and he speaks my language.
November 4, 2009 - 10:15 pm
I’d give anything to be able to make some of AB’s hollandaise, as I’m trying to come up with something along the lines of wonton benedict, with the HS for dipping. I know, sounds weird, but it just. might. WORK!
*crosses everything crossable*

I would love to win these for my 9 year old son, who is a HUGE AB fan.
Here’s a cute story to go along with it:
When Jackson was 6, he decided that he was going to be Alton Brown when he grew up. I told him he couldn’t be Alton Brown, because his name was Jackson.
After thinking this over a few minutes, he piped up, “Then I’ll be Jackson Brown!”

Hiya! Great idea for this! I _love_ Alton’s crepe episode, in fact my partner just made them the other day for the first time and the recipe came out great. I’ve never owned any of Alton’s DVD’s so this would be cool. And I could in touch with my French self after watching.
Thanks for the opportunity and I’ll definitely have to check out your blog as I’ve not heard about it before.
November 4, 2009 - 11:39 pm
I have no Alton DVDs =(
And Alton is pretty hot in the waffle ep…. 0_o
November 5, 2009 - 12:31 am
I used to have ALL the Good Eats episodes on my Tivo… but then well uh I got evicted from my place and put everything in storage… which lol burnt to the ground. (it has been a bad bad bad year)
so I miss my AB eppies… I now watch them online or if I remember him cooking something I love I go get it online:)
Thank heavens where I live now has food network I can lick my tv… I mean learn from him every night! (except when I’m not home or the room mates want to watch something else. they just dont’ GET AB and his greatness!
November 5, 2009 - 5:39 am
I would like to win these DVDs because The Waffle Truth is my favorite episode and it’s not shown nearly enough on Food Network
Some of the other shows, such as Mayo Clinic, I’ve never seen before! I would like very much for Alton to show me how to make Mayonnaise, as it would be a real asset for my Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake recipe
November 5, 2009 - 6:14 am
I’m a huge fan of AB. I’ve seen every episode and made many of the recipes. I just did the beer-cheese bread from Food Under the Influence last night. I constantly make mayo and Mayo Clinic should be required viewing for any cooking lover. I try to convert all my kitchen-able friends to ditch the jars and go from scratch via this method.
FYI – something he doesn’t mention but Julia does is to warm your bowl before you add anything, it makes the mayo creamier.
November 5, 2009 - 7:34 am
I am a big AB and Good Eats fan. I love The Waffler costume on The Waffle Truth episode, I think it’s the best that they’ve done, and while I haven’t seen the Mayo Clinic episode, I really want to try AB’s mayo recipe-I think tinkering with homemade mayo can elevate some of my dishes!
November 5, 2009 - 8:48 am
I’ve made crepes before I saw the Crepe episode, they were good. But after Alton they were better! Alton puts crepes in a better perspective than a recipe book ever could.
I have not been able to see Good Eats since we got rid of our Dish TV due to unemployment so I’ve been going through an Alton withdrawal and I believe having him on DVD would be most helpful to my Good Eats fix. XD
Also I like to think Good Eats help me past my Science test!
November 5, 2009 - 10:12 am
The Waffle Truth is in my top 10 favorites of all time. I wanted to be The Waffler for Halloween. On a serious note…I have made both the regular waffles and chocolate waffles from the episode and they are both delicious. The addition of wheat flour in the regular waffles makes them a little healthier..until you put the syrup on them.

I would like to win a set of these DVDs for many reasons.
-We don’t have any.
-They would make a great gift for my husband (his bday is coming up shortly after christmas).
-After hearing that his inspiration for the show was Julia Child, Monty Python and Dr. Wizard (or whatever that show was, sorry… I have mush for brains!), I completely fell in love with him all over again. I knew there was a reason why I loved the show so much! I grew up watching Julia Child before I could even talk, love Monty Python’s humor and am a chemist and love hearing the science behind it all.
-I was introduced to Good Eats while I was pregnant and to this day I get warm fuzzy memories of curling up on the couch hardly able to keep my head up through the fatigue and many aches and stuff.

I posted a link on my LJ. Thank you again!!

I’d like to win because the ENTIRE family loves the show. My wife, my 10 year old son, my 4 year old daughter, and myself! I think the crepe episode is the only one I’ve seen from the list! We need to catch up!
November 5, 2009 - 9:45 pm
I would totally love to have a set of Good Eats DVDs! I’m not usually a latecomer to things, but I’ve never been able to cook much at all. So consequently, I’d never be adventurous with my kitchen (as AB’s wonton episode recommends).
So here I am, just over a month after discovering the awesome, geeky and most importantly, delicious recipes Alton Brown serves up in every episode, and I’ve gone from late night gouda & gruyere grilled cheese sandwiches to 5-hour to-die-for spaghetti with meat sauce and brussel sprouts with cheese and bacon. Next up I’m actually considering trying his crown roast of lamb recipe and I’m not sure I can pull it off!
Therefore, being as late to the game, but as insanely enthusiastic, as I am, I think I’d be the perfect candidate for a DVD set. =D
November 5, 2009 - 11:11 pm
I need the “Case for Butter”, I can never figure out when to use clarified, salted or unsalted in which recipes. I love Alton Brown. He is so informative and makes learning fun.
November 6, 2009 - 3:02 am
My husband is a huge Alton Brown fan. He says Alton uses science to cook, so Alton is the only one who makes sense to him. He would be so tickled with a set of AB DVDS!
And I do make homemade mayo, but would love to learn how Alton does it.
November 6, 2009 - 7:48 am
Not being from the south, I’d never tried fried chicken on a waffle. If you haven’t tried it, you need to think about eating waffles for dinner, too!
November 6, 2009 - 10:20 am
AB prob is prob the person who inspires me to experiment the most with food. This is to the delight of friends and family, also to me because I learn so much.
November 6, 2009 - 3:04 pm
Alton is so cute in that French beret
But I have to say, much love goes out to the Swiss Steak in Cubing Round. That’s some good eats!
November 6, 2009 - 7:03 pm
the waffle truth!!! so hilarious. i want this set so that i can show my friend how amazingly great that episode in particular is
plus, hi fellow lisa!!
November 6, 2009 - 7:34 pm
Whooo, boy, who wouldn’t want to see Alton as the Waffler every day of every second of every. . . Is there something extremely small than that? Nanosecond? Nah, seems too cliched. Every year, perhaps. Yes.
While need may be a strong word, I would love to have the Hittin’ The Sauce episode, since my one attempt at hollandaise was an epic failure. XD; Maybe it my own Mad French Chef in me, yelling at me, calling me weak; and without Alton’s voice telling it to go jump of the tower, he won. D: Such a sad day for Americans. </3

I have been watching Good Eats since it first aired 10 yrs ago. I was 16 at the time & to me cooking was something my mom did! However, I have always been a fan of learning new things, so his goofy, Mr. Wizard-esque approach to cooking appealed to my “I have to know everything about everything” side. So now, a decade & SEVERAL very funny kitchen escapades later, I have a love of all things food & cook like its going out of style (mostly Good Eats recipes though, to be honest!) My family & friends sure appreciate it! Needless to say, I would love to win a collection of his. I don’t own any right now, though I do have all his books, much dog-eared & well loved.
LONG LIVE THE WAFFLER!!!!!!!!
November 10, 2009 - 8:26 pm
I’d love to get a DVD set… I’ve been a big GE fan for years and I was at one of the 10th Anniversary tapings.
Also, Waffle Man reminds me of The Waffler from the movie “Mystery Men”…
November 12, 2009 - 12:02 pm
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
November 23, 2009 - 5:01 am
I love to watch whatever he makes, and it’s all easy enough for me to make. I have a couple of his cookbooks, including his good eats cookbook that he just put out. I love how he writes the recipies for people to follow.

I’m looking for the Good Eats Videos this is a show my 11yr old son Loves. He has requested only this and a kitchen T.V. for Christmas sooooo….I’ve found one small set at Target but no other luck yet. If you haven’t given it away yet, I’d love to be in your drawing.
Thanks a Zillion,
Dee Mom
